Universal design in public spaces is the main focus of the Conference to be held in Oslo, Norway, from 11 to 13 June 2012.

The strategy of universal design aims at dismantling physical and social barriers. This conference will focus on solutions and various impacts of implementation relevant to people in public spaces.

It aims at being a meeting place both for speakers and participants where to exchange knowledge, experiences and ideas in order to build global connections and design networks that inspire, challenge, and empower future work on universal design.

Topics to be addressed are issues related to universal design in planning, legislation, education, buildings, outdoor areas, information and communications technologies (ICT) and public transport.

The Conference website will be open for abstract submissions until 31 October 2011.
